Edward Hopper is being honoured with a major retrospective staged until 28th January at the National Galleries of the Grand Palais. It is the first time in France that such an exhibition has been devoted to the famous American painter, who stayed in Paris on 3 separate occasions!

Les Halles in Paris are located just 5 minutes walk from the Hotel de la Vallée. Until the early 70s, there was a wholesale market for fresh food. Located in the heart of Paris, in the 1st district Les Halles gave their name to the surrounding neighborhood.
This market has been replaced today by the Jardin des Halles, a large green area and the Forum des Halles, an underground shopping center well known to all lovers of shopping.
The Forum des Halles includes most of the major fashion brands, but also travel agents, welness shops… Shopping, leisure and relaxation, enjoy all the benefits of this great commercial center in the heart of the capital.
The Forum des Halles is currently being redeveloped, the new project “Carreau des Halles” will be directed by French architects Patrick Berger and Jacques Anziutti.
